Wow, this blog post has been a long time coming! Kelsey and Patrick were married last December. I was honored to be asked to photograph their beautiful, Santa Cruz Mountains, woodsy wedding. I knew right off the bat that these “first look” photos were pretty special! It had been drizzly and grey all morning, but once the beautiful bride was ready to step outside to see her groom for the first time on their wedding day, the angels sang! The sun peeked out, and the nervous groom took his place at the bottom of the redwood steps. I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story from this magical, sunlit spot just up the road from where they, moments later, exchanged rings and became husband and wife. I’ve dedicated this blog post to these “first look” images, and will follow up with more from their beautiful, Christmastime themed wedding very soon.

Caitlyn contacted me and let me know she wanted to surprise her Mom with photos of her and her two brothers for Christmas.. we talked about this for several months, and when we were finally able to pull it off.. it was simply amazing! These three are so awesome and I loved their sweet, silly connection (it reminded me so much of me and my three brothers at that age).. we had a blast running around the beach and then were blessed with one of the most incredible sunsets I’ve ever seen!  I mean, it was FIRE! I sure hope their mama loves these as much as I do… what a precious gift! <3

What a beautiful and easy, breezy beach senior session I had with Alethea. This girl is all THAT! Super sweet, super smart, an amazing athlete, and drop dead gorgeous.. in a way that you know she doesn’t even realize (and that is a good thing!).  I’ve known Alethea since she and my daughter were in elementary school together, and can say that I’ve watched her transform from a fun loving, freckle faced kid, into the most gorgeous and gracious young lady (still fun loving, of course). We met up at one of my favorite Santa Cruz beaches on a beautiful, warm fall evening and were graced with an amazing sunset! I loved this session, and wish beautiful Alethea a great senior year and beyond.. I know she has a bright future ahead of her!

I loved being able to capture these images for Victoria as she was completing her exciting senior year of high school. We shot these in September 2012 at two of my favorite locations. A rustic and beautiful ranch just north of town, then back down to one of Santa Cruz’s most gorgeous and iconic beaches for a glorious sunset. I love shooting here, there are a number of perfect locations and we caught it when the light was just lovely. Victoria is such a gorgeous and sweet girl, and quite the natural in front of the camera.
